Joey Turco
A current Division I player for the University of Rhode Island, Joe brings a strong leadership presence to NextPlay. A former captain of his high school team at South Kingstown, Joe helped lead them to a state championship and earned First Team All-State and All-Division honors. Known for his exceptional work ethic and competitive mentality, Joe’s commitment to continuous improvement both on and off the field sets a high standard for the players he coaches. His dedication and Division I experience make him an invaluable part of the NextPlay coaching staff.
Jordan Koduah
Jordan Koduah brings top-level playing and coaching experience to NextPlay. A former Division I player at both the University of Hartford and the University of Rhode Island, Jordan also competed professionally with the Western Mass Pioneers in USL2. Now an assistant coach at the University of Hartford, he combines his deep understanding of the game with a passion for player development. Jordan’s experience, leadership, and commitment to helping others succeed make him a valuable member of the NextPlay coaching staff.
Connor Froberg
Connor Froberg is a current Division I player at the University of Rhode Island, bringing high-level collegiate experience and a strong understanding of the game to the NextPlay coaching staff. Before joining URI, he captained North Kingstown High School and led the team to consecutive state finals, earning United States Soccer Coaches All-American honors. He also found success at the club level with Bayside FC, winning a U.S. Club Soccer National Cup. Known for his leadership, discipline, and tactical awareness, Connor is committed to helping players grow and succeed through focused, personalized training.
Lauren MacDonald
Lauren MacDonald is a current Division I player for the University of Rhode Island women’s soccer team, where she made an immediate impact as a freshman and earned a spot on the 2023 Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team. Known for her attacking ability and consistency, she started the final nine games of the season and finished second on the team in points. Before URI, Lauren was a standout at North Catholic High School and a captain for both her high school and club team, Century United. Her work ethic, leadership, and high-level playing experience make her a strong role model and coach for aspiring players at NextPlay.
